Senior Systems Developer

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in an established, extremely talented, international development team charged with ongoing development, deployment and support of multiple product lines that are focused on innovative data analysis solutions for improving quality within the semiconductor test process.

Basic Purpose and Objectives:
The position requires a candidate with superb communication skills who can design, develop, and deploy J2EE based business solutions.  This individual will be responsible for the analysis, definition, and documentation of requirements for projects along with the development and maintenance of these projects.

Organizational Relationships:
Working with project managers, business teams, and team leads to ensure clarity of specifications

Responsibilities:

• Writing technical specifications for modules to be developed and updating certain release documentation as necessary to reflect any technical modifications made during the coding and testing process
• Designing and developing software modules which adhere to published standards for coding and design to solve business problems as outlined in the functional specifications
• Interacting with the business and/or end user community to gather and analyze the technical requirements
• Researching and correcting production issues encountered during and after implementation
• Ensuring that expected application performance levels are achieved
• Performing and participating in code reviews
• Supporting QA and testing teams in their testing efforts
• Creating and modifying unit test cases for production code
• Performing other related projects and duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have five plus years of Java development experience building J2EE applications; SQL experience in an MySQL (or similar) environment with a good grasp of relational database concepts; Experience writing/supporting JSF and /or other MVC JSP based framework.

Skills and Other Requirements:

• EJB 2.x (including Entity and Message Driven Beans) and/or another persistence framework
• Hibernate 2+
• JBoss 4+
• Spring dependency injection
• Experience with message based applications using JMS
• XML (JAXB)
• Web Service experience
• JUnit & Cactus and/or another enterprise Java testing framework
• Experience packaging and deploying applications with Maven
• Experience with Linux & Unix operating systems
• Perforce and/or other version control system
• Familiarity with Shell and Perl scripting
• Ability to work alone with direction
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and an ability to work seamlessly with organizational partners and peers
• Exceptional time management and organization
• Candidate must have ability and willingness to travel within the US and abroad as needed
